Tuesday Play – Sweeps

No Matter your level of play, there’s a game on the schedule that will offer an opportunity for you to shine. Each Tuesday’s play is a mini tournament called Sweeps. Members contribute $1 to participate. The Sweeps game format rotates each week between Low Net (great for high handicaps), Low Gross , Low Putts or Closest to the Pin. Sweeps monies are collected and paid out at the club’s luncheons.

The FROGs Winner (Free Round of Golf subsidy) is calculated as the player that has the overall low net on the monthly FROG day. The winner receives a $25 Boundary Oak Gift Card towards a round of golf.

Members can only win FROG every six months (measured on the basis of a running 6 months). FROG awards are distributed at the club’s luncheons.

At the end of the first and second half of the season, awards are presented to the Winter and Summer EC Winners. The Eclectic total score is net score calculated using the lowest score achieved on each hole. This scoring method favors new golfers and is a lot of fjun. This scoring method is also called a ringer score.

Each week, sweeps payouts are calculated for Birdies, Chip-Ins, Eagles, and the elusive Hole-in-One. Event Winners are determined for Low Gross, Low Net, Low Putts, Closest to the Pin and Flight Winners. The results of each week’s Sweeps Tournament are published in the Captain’s Club Message.

Sweeps Process

Sweeps Money – Players put $1 in the container in the Proshop when they pay for their round.

Score Card – Only 2 cards per foursome. One player keeps their score and that of their partner on one card. For a threesome, 2 cards with all three players.

Scoring – Players keep gross score and putts for each hole and total scores. Do not record Handicap or Net Score.

End of Game – Verify scores with your partner player by reading each hole score and putts for each hole as well as total gross and putts. When you agree, sign and date the card for yourself. Have your partner sign as attester.

Posting – Post hole-by-hole scores using the GHIN phone app (See video below) or take a picture of the card to post later at home.

Turn in Card – Turn in all completed cards in the card box in the Proshop.

Payouts – Payouts will be made during the club’s luncheons.

Sign Up Genius Schedule

Sign ups for Tuesday league play use an online program called Sign Up Genius. An email invitation will be sent to each member with a link to the following week’s Tuesday play. Members click on the lin and choose an available time slot.

Invitations for Tuesday tee times are emailed from Sign Up Genius every Sunday. Members can sign up or make changes in Sign Up Genius until the following Saturday. If members need to sign out after Saturday, please:

Sign out of Sign Up Genius, and
Call the proshop, and
Contact a member of your foursome so they do not wait for you.
